Since qualifying in 1999, Rebecca has gained a wealth of experience, acting for both employers and employees. Specialising in Employment Law, Rebecca provides advice on non-contentious negotiations, drafting employment contracts, Staff Handbooks, Policies and Compromise Agreements.
Rebecca has dealt with a wide range of claims in the Employment Tribunals and Employment Appeals Tribunal. Her real interest is discrimination claims, having represented employees, workers and Crown Servants with complaints of race, sex, age, religions belief, maternity and pregnancy related discrimination issues, as well as dealing with whistle blowing claims and matters relating to employment status.
In addition Rebecca has dealt with claims in the County Courts and High Courts, dealing with injunction proceedings arising from breach of restrictive covenants, as well as proceedings under the Police Pension Regulations, including Pension forfeiture.
Rebecca obtained her Masters in Employment Law in 2003 and she is now a visiting lecturer in Employment Law at Leeds Trinity University. Rebecca is a member of the Yorkshire & Humber ET User Group and the Employment Lawyers Association (ELA).

Ian qualified as a solicitor in 2000. As the Senior Partner, Ian brings to the firm a dynamic, driven enthusiasm for getting the best result for his clients.
Ian has extensive experience in advising clients in corporate transactions, including Management buy-ins and buy-outs, share sale, asset sales, joint ventures as well as corporate restructuring. He has also advised public sector clients in relation to private finance initiative transactions. In addition to advising clients on commercial agreements and terms of business, Ian has a specific interest in Franchising, advising both franchisees and franchisors in business structures, franchise agreements and exit negotiations.
In terms of specific sectors, having previously worked two of the largest healthcare law firms in the UK, Ian has extensive experience in advising healthcare professionals in both disciplinary hearings and in relation to partnership, service agreements, outsourcing contracts and other commercial transactions affecting the healthcare sector.
Ian is also able to provide advice and representation to clients concerned in commercial disputes and litigation matters. Drawing on his commercial experience he approaches such cases with a pragmatic attitude, but taking positive action to resolve the dispute.
Ian currently represents members of the Police Federation of England & Wales who are subject to disciplinary investigations/proceedings and is recognised Nationally for his expertise in this area.
In what little spare time he has, Ian loves sailing, walking and spending time with his gorgeous children.

David qualified as a solicitor in June 2009, serving his traineeship with a large high-street firm of solicitors doing predominantly publically-funded work. Prior to that David was a caseworker at the Crown Prosecution Service assisting with a wide-range of cases.
Given his experience David firmly believes in access to justice for all, and offers free and speedy initial advice where he can. David has substantial experience in advising and representing clients from all backgrounds in criminal and regulatory matters. David currently represents members of the Police Federation of England & Wales facing disciplinary offences, as well as acting for members of the public who face criminal charge. As such David is a well-known face at many Police Stations and Magistrates' Courts around the country.
David takes more than a passing interest in Everton Football Club and can often be seen sat disappointed in the Goodison Road Stand at five o'clock on a Saturday afternoon.

Jim Kirkbright is our Road Traffic specialist and joined Rebian Solicitors in March of this year. He retired from the West Yorkshire Police in 2005 after thirty years of service, having spent twenty seven years as a Road Traffic Patrol Officer. Jim was also a Member of the West Yorkshire Police Federation Joint Branch Board for seven years and was an active member of the Federation Discipline Team.
Jim's area of expertise is in Road Traffic and Police Misconduct issues. He is a qualified Collision Investigator and was also trained in Tactical Pursuit and Containment, VIP protection and was an Authorised Firearms Officer. Jim is experienced in all areas of collision investigation, including scene visits for evidence gathering and the preparation of clients prior to interview. Jim is qualified in Police station representation during PACE procedures.
Since his retirement from the Police, working as a Litigation Executive for Police Federation Solicitors, Jim has successfully represented serving Police Officers in all areas of criminal and misconduct matters including fatalities involving Police pursuits, fatal and serious road collisions, deaths in Police custody and Police contact deaths involving firearms incidents.
